“Rachel communicated to me, in language I could understand, the direct connections between the foods I was eating and their negative impact on my health. At the time, I was eating a diet full of processed foods, refined sugar, and carbohydrates. While I was choosing organic meats, there wasn’t anything green to be found in my refrigerator. We decided that what would work best for me is a diet of no added sugar, no dairy, bread, coffee or beer, lots of greens, organic meats, more proteins, and healthier snacks of nuts and healthy fats like guacamole. Rachel’s knowledge of which foods are rich in things like calcium, magnesium, antioxidants, and the different vitamins I required to combat osteoporosis and a possible future cancer diagnosis, created a road map for me to begin my journey to a healthier, whole foods diet.
